  Just the worst communication ever, not happy with job overall, and now because things like flashing were not installed, we have to re-do and will probably need to replace a custom door aka Frankendoor! We've waited since July to get Frankendoor installed, even to hear Frankendoor was done and finally December 6, 2017, it was done and ready to install. What a fiasco and it still leaks! Probably because it has no FLASHING!!! This was our second time using this company, the first time they did fine, 2 time a frustrating nightmare that hasn't ended! Months without communication or follow up, no one working to complete the items 3/4 installed, a window not measured correctly so we took it off the list as it hadn't even been ordered. A sliding door fell on my car causing damage to the bumper, still to this day, no contact whatsoever from their insurer. I called their insurer twice and finally went thru my insurance to have the car fixed almost 2 months later; more cost to the homeowner and not Build It Green! We started in April getting a the quote, sent them items we wanted, actually started in July, they worked for 4 days and didn't finish what was installed. I spoke to Michelle once in October and I tried via phone, text, and email many times until utter frustration took over and I sent a letter from the CCB giving them 30 days notice, only after they received the letter did I hear from them and have them show up in December to install Frankendoor. Frankendoor was a replacement to a slider and on a windy day, the slider is removed and our house was left wide open for 5 hours, no plastic put up nothing! They never show up with all the items to do the job so are always off to gather taking way longer than needed. Lack of communication from Ron to James, as I had asked that they only install Frankendoor and it to be done perfectly and finished same day and to do nothing else, sent it in an email days prior and here they are futsing with stuff I wasn't happy with and I didn't have time to deal with nor did I want my house a disaster zone, and I for sure didn't want them here more than a day. I'm a pet sitter and I had 5 dogs running around, not the time for construction or a mess and to still not have items finished, ARGH! Update April 12, 2018 - No contact from their insurance ever, went thru our insurance and paid $1200 for repairs to car out of pocket. To have repairs made the current estimate is $1200 but won't know the full extent until repairs are being made.

  Overall, this experience has been pretty terrible. We decided to hire Ron to install windows and retrofit wall insulation because he could overlap services and have the work done back to back. Not only did that not happen, there were all sorts of problems: - They failed to get the windows ordered in time for the start date (September), and lied about it- first telling us they were delivered, then telling us they were on back order, then finally telling us they didn't actually get ordered. - They did not return phone calls or emails as promised or without repeated attempts at contacting and they constantly would tell us the other communication method was better so we started calling AND emailing each time and they still claim they didn't get the messages/emails or that the person in charge of their email didn't tell them about new messages - They only provided 7 of 8 windows that were quoted - They failed to show up for work on four occasions, three of those times necessitating rescheduling work and childcare and also causing lost wages on our rental studio twice - The whole project was supposed to be a 5-6 day job but got split up and drawn out over three months - The retrofit insulation work was good, window install workmanship was average, the finishing work was very poor - In the end only 2 areas of the exterior were insulated, we had to order the missing window, install 2 windows, and do all of the finish work on 5 of the windows ourselves. After going back and forth they offered us a refund of $806, which they wanted to post to our credit card, and when we didn't see it posted we'd call and then they would ask for more time or say they didn't get to it. They never did and now are not answering or returning calls or emails. We understand things happen and we tried to be empathetic to several personal issues they kept sharing with us, but bottom line is they were dishonest, misleading, and unprofessional. My wife and I both run small businesses and would never treat customers the way we were treated. As much as we didn't want to write a negative review they haven't followed through on any attempt to resolve this so I don't want another homeowner to get taken advantage of like we did.
