  Don't go there , very Rude Staff , Bad expernice at all , if you already made a mistake and already booked the car , don't forget to get your recipt once you return the car , otherwise you will be in trouble and they will told you after few days , you did not return the CAR ... Very Rude Companey .. Go To ALAMO much better

  Do NOT go here! There is an enterprise down the street in Lyndhurst that is wonderful. I arrived here 10 minutes early for my pick up. I filled out some paperwork and was told to have a seat because there were no cars available and they had to get one from the Lyndhurst budget. I was confused as to why i was able to make the reservation if he did not have any cars - he blamed it on me making a "last minute" reservation (it was made 5.5 hours earlier that day.) I asked if I can just go and pick it up myself and was told no because he needed to get the car number from the other location. I waited - he then went outside and pulled a car around and called me out. When I walked out, I was told to take that car to the other location to get my car. I yet again mentioned I had a ride and I will just go myself. He then began to walk inside without giving me so much as an address. (VERY rude!) When I arrived at the Lyndhurst location, the woman was very nice. I got my car and left. I was on my way to a dealership to look at cars since mine had died. I noticed that the driver's side view mirror was shaking so badly that I was unable to see cars behind me. When I called back, I was told that "nobody had every complained about this before" and that no other cars were available for me. I explained what had happened at the Rutherford location and that someone somewhere needed to find me a car because this was now completely out of control. I was told I could wait until the next morning and people were supposed to bring some cars back but unsure of an exact time. After a few things back and forth I was finally told to bring the car back to the Rutherford location (Lyndhurst was closing) for a full refund. I arrived, the same gentleman grabbed the keys off the counter after I placed them down, went outside and took off in the car. Came back in a few minutes later and my boyfriend asked if he noticed the mirror. He told us "It isn't broken, it's just vibrating." To which I followed up that I feel unsafe in the vehicle. He processed some paperwork and handed it to me without saying anything. I asked if I was receiving the full refund mentioned to me and he said yes. I left. As of this morning, the charge was no longer pending, but HAS POSTED TO MY ACCOUNT! NO REFUND! When I called the corporate office, I was told that it was prepaid and it did not matter what happened, I was not eligible for a refund. Of course I fought this and finally ended up with a case number and was told a full refund would be issues in 7-14 business days. I went down the street to the Enterprise in Lyndhurst and was not only helped quickly, I was treated with respect AND received a free upgrade to a nicer vehicle. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your time or money at this location. I will absolutely never use a Budget location again.

  The prices are reasonable but the service is awful. The car I reserved wasn't available (they offered me a tiny car instead of the suv I needed)and when I came back later in the week, the store wasn't even open at the time it said on the door. The corporate people were also not interested in providing any customer service. It was a very frustrating experience, and really not worth the money I saved.

  Cannot recommend. Rented car for a day on May 7. The vehicle was given to me in poor condition, had an expired inspection sticker, interior smelled a bit like cigarettes and marijuana, tire pressure indicator light was on, sticky stains on the back seat. The car shook whenever I approached 60 mph. In the end, I found a half smoked marijuana cigarette under the passenger seat when I returned the car. Luckily I wasn't pulled over and arrested transporting illegal drugs or have a tire blow out on I-95.

  My experience with this Budget Car Rental location was great. The staff was very nice and you can't beat the price. In fact, I am going back again today to rent another car.
