  I am a freelancer. Instead of working in the house, I am on a mission to do my work in the black-owned cafes in Brooklyn. I rather give them my money than hand it over to Starbucks... That being said, Brown Butter is the only cafe I visited so far that has a bathroom! And it's nice and clean! The outlets are at the front of the cafe. The woman at the counter was friendly. I had the biscuit with egg and cheese. That is why this is a 4 out of 5 star review. I hated the biscuit. The sandwich was dry. It tasted like it was a defrosted / microwave sandwich. This is a cool place to do your work. It has a very "Bed-Stuy" aesthetic. Stick to the drinks. Maybe the pastries are good.

  Outstanding breakfast menu and coffee bar! Served a party of eight to perfect satisfaction. We ordered almost everything on the menu and it was all delicious.

  The good: Haitian hot chocolate is pretty great. Baked goods and sandwiches are solid as well. The $$, given that this is a cafe and not a more formal sit-down restaurant, doesn't make sense considering the wait time. Try this place out, but you'll have to be active if you want your food at a reasonable time. Thankfully the area is ripe with competition.

  I loved visiting Brown Butter. The staff was so friendly and the food was delicious. We were a group of five so we ordered several items on the menu to taste. My favorite was the curry chicken salad. The avocado toast and mac and cheese got great reviews from my group as well. We washed it down with a guava lemonade that deserved honorable mention.
