So disappointed in our visit to this box. We were so looking forward to it knowing the great reputation Brick has. Our first impression was great. Very welcoming and informative front desk. The facility was immaculate. While we waited for class to begin were welcomed by an extremely friendly coach who actually stopped right in the middle of his workout to chat with us. He was very pleasant and professional and really went out of his way to ask where we from and make conversation. I have visited many boxes in the last 11 years of doing CrossFit, as well as owning a box for 5 years and coaching. Unfortunately this was by far the worst experience I've ever had in visiting one. The coach for the 1130 class could not have been more disengaged with the entire class. She exuded such a lack of energy and interest from beginning to end. She never greeted us or introduced herself. The warm up was the most minimal warm up I've ever been put through. She pretty much planted herself in one spot, by her phone, mostly paying attention to the music which was absolutely horrible. Our box plays a lot of rap which I like but the music she chose to subject us to was outrageous. At $25.00 a drop in fee and at a membership rate of 235. a month, it's just not fair that a coach choose their own personal music, not taking into consideration that the the words might be so degrading and offensive to members/visitors. Never once did she chat with ANY of the members during the strength segment. There was a lot of down time during the emom and the room was completely quiet with no one conversing, no engagement by her whatsoever! We were never introduced to the other members so of course we felt like complete strangers to them. She mostly just stayed by her phone. She did check for form a few times and let us know a couple of corrections to make in the 1 1/4 front squats. Other than that she never said another word to us (and from what I could tell no one else) other than mustering up telling us we had 90 seconds left in the 20 min Amrap. She actually left the room for quite a few min. My husband asked me what happened to her. I said, "does it even matter?" The atmosphere was so lacking in energy. Only once towards the end she told us, "good job, you have 90 seconds left." I could not wait for this wod to end. No one talked to anyone at the end, no high fives, nothing. She did go around and fist pump everyone but at that point our attitudes were like, is that all you got? Or, oh NOW you're actually making an effort and smiling at us?? My impression based off her complete lack of interest is that not only did she did NOT want to be there, she really does not enjoy her job. This is very sad to me that most CrossFit owners/coaches work so hard to give members the best possible experience for 1 hour and have a coach like her ruin it by giving us such a bad experience. We were so looking forward to experiencing our first Brick visit and we left completely shocked. Everyone has bad days and I'm hoping this was all it was for her. I waited a few days, contemplating whether I should write this review because on one hand, I don't want to get her in trouble but I can't possibly imagine this would be acceptable to the owners how she chooses to run a class. Maybe at one time she had more passion for coaching but there's nothing left now. Clearly She is not a good representation of this box based off the previous reviews and excellent reputation Brick has worked so hard to achieve.

The blonde guy was really nice. Sorry I can't remember your name but thank you for having us. We dropped in after the Crossfit Games. Loved it!

This place is great! The workouts are routine, sometimes grouped, self motivated and generally mid-high intensity level based. I would compare the intensity to T25 or P90X. I used Classpass to sign up and it was super easy. This facility offers free towels, free lockers with an ID, 3 showers, hair blow dryer and other small personal items that one may have forgotten or can use. Instructors are attentive and are great motivators. If you are looking to build muscle and/or burn cardio, this is definitely a place to check out!

I hate to leave a bad review after a good workout. Tough love. Drop in cost is $25, even if the person you talk to when you call says otherwise, and even if the website and the voucher it gives you says otherwise. Nice equipment and set up, 5-stars there. Programming for that day seemed robust and well considered, 5-stars for the one day I saw. The coach (Joe) seemed awesome with a great overview of the workout but he was elsewhere talking with others when he could have been coaching, 3-stars. He is leaving soon so it may not have been his norm. C'mon Brick, fix the website or honor what it says. Drive coaches to rock the job.
