  Books of Wonder is more than just a local treasure, or even a national treasure. It is a treasure for all of humanity, it is hope for the future, and it is proof that we as human beings are occasionally capable of doing good and recognizing what is beautiful and worth supporting in this world. Go and buy everything and take your books home and eat them one by one under a tree and get back to feeling the way you always wanted to feel.

  Great selection of children's books. The staff are knowledgeable and they have events going on with guest authors.

  Lovely small kids bookshop. They have a small section in the back for rare kids books. Nice selection to scroll through as the old carpet covered wooden floor creeks underneath you. Just adds to the manic of lifting out that perfect book. They were doing a story time when we stopped in. Nothing fancy, but do you need that with an imagination.

  Amazon can't do this! I brought my twelve year old niece there, and it was absolutely amazing. Aside from the selection, the staff asked her questions about the kinds of books she liked, and some recent books that she had enjoyed. They then proceeded quickly around the store, pulling out one wonderful book after another. I was floored and flabbergasted by what came next; the staff knew how to tailor their book pitches to the audience that mattered most. My niece was wide-eyed with the possibility of so many incredible books by the time they talked her through the pile they had pulled together for her consideration. When my niece couldn't choose between the last two books, we bought her both. Major victory, wonderful shop.

  This is one of my favorite book stores. Even though I'm not able to be there often, when I'm there I could spend hours. The environment is cozy, comfortable and relaxed. It's one of those bookstores that are the perfect size because there's a wide selection but it's not so big that it doesn't feel welcoming. I feel very much at home there and the staff is amazing. The book recommendations and fun things like "going on a blind date" with a book are really cute. The staff and atmosphere really makes you feel like you're part of a family.
