  Was visiting from out of town and didn't have a reservation but they got us seated quickly for a Friday night. They have a good beer selection and great cocktails. Food was excellent as was the service. Had the shrimp and grits and needed a spoon so as not to waste the delicious sauce! Definitely somewhere to check out whether visiting or a local.

  This spot came up during my research of tasty food, and also recommended by locals. There was a blue hound dog welcoming us next to the host/hostess station. The first area is occupied mainly by a large bar. They had a few happy customers enjoying some drinks. They had two dining areas, one with the bar and the back room which seems to be the main dining area. The space is pretty dim, producing relaxing and romantic atmosphere. The cocktail menu had a name and description of the drink on one page, followed by the photo of each drinks. It was nice to be able to see what the cocktails would look like before deciding which one to order. I actually picked the cocktail from the photo, since I knew I wanted one with egg whites on top. I went with a cocktail named Lion King. I loved the egg whites, exactly what I wanted! It was topped with black berry which was a bit sour. The cocktail itself was really tasty, sweet and elegant, delicious cocktail. For food, I decided to order two appetizers as both appetizers and main, so that I can try more than one items without stuffing myself. I ordered Corn Grit Fries and Pulled Pork Sliders. Portion of the Corn Grits was more than enough to share, my co-worker also got to have couple of pieces. It was a bit too heavy to stay in one piece, as I tried to pick it up with a fork. It was tasty but I think I had a too high of an expectation, that it didn’t wow me. Pulled Pork Sliders were much better, very tasty and comforting. Really enjoyed it! I ended the dinner with a dessert called BHKC Pudding. It was simple but very tasty. Creamy and velvety with nice firm consistency. Nice way to end the pleasant meal.

  Been here twice now! They let us host my birthday with some decorations, were fine with us taking a bit to open presents, and wrote a birthday card. Pictured is the salmon which has to be my favorite salmon out of the other restaurants I've eatten at. It melts in your mouth, and the drink options are fun too. A great place for adult family, a nicer place out to eat, and food option for someone new to AZ.

  Blue Hound is a good restaurant, with lots of interesting food options. We really enjoyed it there. The drinks were also quite good, and the bar seemed like it was a good destination as well. I would recommend the place. It's also pretty kid-friendly, at least in early dinner hours.

  We were refused by the hostess with over half of the tables and booths being empty. The gal was good at being argumental however her arguments were not powered by intelligence. After persuasion we we're finally sat at a table near the bar that had been marked "reserved" along with three others in the row. We proceeded to order cocktails that we're delicious and then a light dinner which was also quite flavorful. The rest of the staff was very friendly and accommodating as a service industry professional should be. We sat in the booth for 40 minutes and had a $78 tab. Upon departure the booth next to us was still empty and the one on the other side was empty about half way through our visit and remained so till we departed. I am unsure the logic still to this moment she was instilling but I must say we chose after being soured by her lack of service to venture caddy corner to Bitter and Twisted where the hostess was lovely as well as welcoming! Maybe she should train the hostesses over at the Blue Hound! The bartenders were skilled, the waitress was perfect and the food was good and hot! I feel the experience was very dulled by it's initial interaction that one star is where I could rate, but that would not be fair to the rest of the establishments personnel that did do a great job!
