A pretty chill place. We waited for the food a bit longer than expected but it was really good. Also the blarney Stone pale ale is a must try!

My friends and I ordered four separate drinks, ranging from whiskey to tequila to vodka, and all were watered down to the point of being disgusting. I don’t normally try to bash a spot for a single negative experience, but it’s very clear that this bar waters down its drinks. This isn’t exactly an uncommon practice, but the degree to which they’re watered down is insulting. On top of that, I watched my bartender “wash” the glass I ended up getting by dipping it in a pool of standing water and beginning to pour my drink. It’s like they literally don’t care. The bar has a cool atmosphere and music, so there’s that I guess.

Pretty standard bar. Went there on st Patrick's day, which was fun, although they seemed a little understaffed. The food that was brought out all looked good but I was just drinking. The fish and chips looks especially good, but what's the deal with fish and chips being one of the more pricey menu items?

A nice, down-to-Earth Irish pub, Blarney Stone is a rare gem amid the exhaustive amount of expensive, overly crafty joints that are typical of San Diego's Gaslamp District. Clean, warm, and welcoming, the interior is decorated with baseball memorabilia. The drinks were reasonably priced, and our bartender, Armando, was perfectly friendly, attentive, accommodating, and engaging without being at all intrusive. The music he had playing, a mix of 90's rock hits, had everyone at the bar singing along. The menu, while limited, sports the kinds of pub and Irish fare one would expect, at price points lower than what is common for the area. We opted to split the fish and chips. It came out nicely crispy, with coleslaw and a mound of fries, and it was plenty to eat for my girlfriend and I. This will likely be our go-to spot when we're in the Gaslamp from now on.
