  One of the favorite places in uptown. Employees here are much more nicer and courteous than other places I have been in uptown. Plus music is not very long so it promotes social interactions.

  The Black Friar Pub's fish n chips are the closest to the ones we had in Ireland and my wife loves the Irish tarter sauce, it's way better than the tarter sauce in the states. We will definitely be going back for some fish n chips and Guinness.

  Blackfriar Pub had a welcoming ambiance, and I was able to sit outside with my boyfriend and enjoy a nice selection of brews. They had some interesting beer/cider/spirit combinations, making their drink menu robust and hard to choose from due to the variety of tantalizing options! We enjoyed prompt and polite service from our waitress, who was cheerful and accommodating, and I loved that the pub allowed folks to bring their four-legged friends into the outdoor patio section. Overall, a very enjoyable experience. We will return!

  Looking for welcoming late-night fare as a solo traveler on a weeknight near Love Field. Blackfriar stood out, and I'm pleased to have found it. Even during a service crunch, my waitress was poised and cheerful. Despite the bar being stacked three deep at one point, front of house staff kept cool. Despite Thursday tacos, as a first-timer, I was graciously guided to the fish & chips, which hit the spot, as did the atmosphere and general upbeat vibe inside. Would return; will recommend!

  Megan and the food are thee only reason I'd give them a star. Jordan and the bust boy very rude, me and my 7 friends came here last night 1/20/18 to celebrate mine and my wife birthday and as thee only minority party we all felt harassed. The food was wonderful. Our waitress was thee best we've had in a really long time. We each spent 50 to 60 last night on food and drinks. We got cold so Megan said she could close the door the bust boy got mad and yelled at us and her because it meant him having to walk around. Then Jordan came over and opened the door saying they can close it they spent the rest of the night bothering my friends. Again thee only minority party we are all managers, executive chefs, or nurses. Highly unprofessional Horrible first experience wouldn't recommend, most definitely won't be back. Which sucks because Megan was so great and the food was good. It's thee attitudes of the rest of the staff that ruined it.
