We are the party of 6 that Katie in the previous review referred to. We also called ahead and waited 10-15 minutes to be seated in a restaurant with lots of open tables. After 10 minutes, our server finally came. We ordered drinks and food at the same time. Another 15 minutes later, our drinks came....all 4 of our kids' drinks were wrong. In the meantime, 3 of our 4 kids were brought a garlic knot and small serving of fruit. We thought they were on their way to rebounding until they never came back with the serving they promised our 4th child. We again waited for our food to come (spoiler: it never did). My husband eventually asked to speak to a manager but was told she was busy with another table (not surprising). We finally had enough and decided to leave. In the meantime, a crying server was sent to our table to tell us a new server was on the way. We never complained to him, or even got to speak to a manager, before he was sent to our table in tears, which I thought was a poor reflection of the management. When my husband finally went to the front and offered to pay for our drinks, the manager made an appearance. Instead of helping to rectify the situation, she asked us to WAIT AGAIN and disappeared after telling her that we were in a hurry and needed to pay for our drinks and leave. Katie's review says that our actual food came out at 7:34, after they were finished eating (we ordered before them) and over TWENTY minutes after we left. This was horrible customer service at every level.

Worst service ever. Called ahead, they didn’t have us. They sat us in 15 minutes on a Friday night, great! Sat down at 6:30, 7:00 they brought water to the kids, forgot my wine and my husbands beer. Then he brought the wrong wine, right beer. 7:05, still no water. We talked to the manager and we got a new waitress. Meanwhile the party of 6 next to us got up and left. As I was typing this, the runner brought out their food at 7:34, after we were done eating and an hour and four minutes after we sat down. They sat down before us. Two of the kids meals were wrong and they quickly fixed them. My husband and kids went down the street to get ice cream and I’m waiting...waiting...waiting for our check. Manager did say she would fix the check. Waitress just offered free dessert, unfortunately I’m alone as my family left to get dessert. Friendly staff, just not efficient. They did fix the check and we got a considerable discount. Although, we still had a wine on there that we didn’t get. The new waitress took off quickly. Thanks for the discount, which we didn’t ask for. Very horrible service with a crew trying to make it right. I’ll never come back to a BJ’s again. 😕

I have been going here for many years. It used to be my favorite place. It's different now though. The croutons don't seem to be made from scratch anymore. Plus the shrimp scampi that was my favorite doesn't have toasted breadcrumbs on it any more. It's still a good place to go and hang out. I just don't feel it is as good as it used to be. The staff is very nice though and they do have really good handicap parking. So if you're in the area and looking for pub food and beer and booze it's not a bad choice.

BJ's use to be one of the best restaurants in Denver. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and fabelous food. If I was in Colorado on a Friday night, this is where I took family, friends and co workers to dinner. However, the last several times l have been to BJ's the quality of food has gone way down. I'm not sure that the Chefs really know what they are doing anymore. My pizza has been burnt, steak overcooked, and appetizers doughy. I understand everyone has an off day, but for the prices you pay, you expect excellence on regular basis. I will say this much for BJ's if you want a hand crafted beer or a hand crafted soda... BJ's would still be the place to go. Their beer and soda still rate an over all 10 from me.

What a terrible experience! I went there for a quick bite to eat with my bridesmaids before wedding dress shopping. We were on a time crunch and so we sat in the bar area. When our server arrived Nicholas B. he was rude and short with us. I told him right away we were on a time crunch and that we just wanted a quick bite. His response sarcastically "well seeing as we are a busy restaurant I can't make any promises." Let me tell you I have been in the service industry for 10 + years. When someone tells me that I do my very best to make their time frame. Not Nicholas. My maid of honor asked him what he suggested for us since we were on a time crunch his response was "nothing from the fryer, no pizzas, I don't know maybe like a salad." So we ordered our drinks, all water or fountain sodas, one friend got a margarita. When he got back we were ready to order. My friend asked him what kind of soups they had to which he responded "all of them". His attitude was insane! Again being a server I could repeat all of our soups by heart but Nicholas was already pissed off that we were on a time crunch. So we all ordered soup and salad, easiest thing ever, right? Wrong. The few of us that got salads, got our salads and then sat and sat and sat waiting for soup....I had to leave for my appointment with no soup. My girls stayed behind to ask for boxes and the check. Nicholas B. was impossible to track down, they asked him multiple times for the check and was even more rude. Rolling his eyes. Making it VERY clear that we were inconveniencing him. I will never go back here again.
