  Big R goes to Big T for hopefully the winning QP (Quick Pick) During my alternate juror service, I had time to walk and explore the city of Alhambra. One of my hobbies is to buy a Quick Pick for when large jackpots occur. No time for the small stuff, folks! I dream big! Located across the street from 85C, Big T Mini Mart is akin to a 7-Eleven hipster-ized, with Asian-inspired goods tucked between the normal convenience store fare. Family owned & operated, I immediately noticed the flatscreen TV's for viewing enjoyment. The store itself is kept clean & newish looking. The occasions I've been here, the clerks were quick to give me my Quick Picks, dreams of vacations & properties dancing inside my head. Service is good & speedy. I've been in & out, which is the purpose of convenience stores. Parking is via a private lot, shared by Mancora Peruvian restaurant. Additional parking can be had at the 85C parking structure. While 7-Elevens are ubiquitous & convenient, it's nice to patronize a family owned & operated business such as Big T. The store has a prime location on Main, within walking distance of Alhambra High School, library, city hall, courthouse and the many adjacent eateries along the way. When in Alhambra and in need of a few things, Big T has got you covered. Highly recommend!

  There's something about non-chain convenience stores that can either make you turn around inside the door or strike up a conversation with the cashier. Fortunately, this store is one of the latter. This store is tucked away in small plaza next to Alhambra High School. There's ample well-lit parking so you won't need to watch your back when you're picking up a quick drink. The interior is extremely clean, bright and open. Since this is an independent store, the prices are much lower than the chain stores. The selection of items is just as broad with the bonus of a few Asian snacks that you won't normally find unless you went to an Asian supermarket.
