::I thought it was really shocking and irresponsible that the library showcased that exhibit by the degenderettes - (the one with the wifebeater shirts covered in women's blood & the weapons) - and I really don't see how showcasing images that are specifically being used to threaten violence against feminist women in our current discourse is "protest art." To the thousands of women who have received these sorts of threatening messages (and I've seen women get called TERF for the most benign and idiotic of reasons, I might add) - this exhibit looks a whole lot more like an implicit threat than any sort of "protest art." What you as a library should be doing is providing a platform for ideas to be shared openly and with civility, as SO MANY people on both sides of this issue are capable of doing. What you should not be doing is helping to foster a culture of toxicity where women who hold a class based feminist analysis of gender are demonized and threatened with baseball bats. Seriously, why is it that it's the lunatics who always speak loudest, and get the biggest platforms? The reasonable among us need to start setting the discourse.

::Great Library - I needed to get a bunch of work done while I was staying in the area, so I set up in here each day with my laptop. Good wifi, great space to work in. Homeless people are not a problem. If you can't handle it - maybe you should have a good hard think about your privileges. What a fabulous resource a library is for everyone.

::I love this library. This library has everything even a cafe. I love coming and reading, studying and getting on the computers. The staff is real friendly and helpful.

::This is a wonderful library with an incredibly diverse population. It is sad that so many people complain about the homeless in the area. Most of the posts were probably done by the upper class who helped create the problem. Instead of complaining do something about it. There would be few left on the street if we had proper permanent housing. This is the people’s library. All San Franciscans are people.

::Que bien.
