  Bought a very reliable car from this gentleman for my young driver. He (and his son) were kind, courteous, accommodating, went out of his way to meet my schedule, had the car evaluated at Wits and was forthcoming at every strep of the process. Reading the other review, I must be clear in disputing the posters assertion of “shadiness” with the owner. He was nothing of the sort. Honest at every turn and will be sending others who need starter cars to Hil in the future.

  This place is shady and unprofessional. I would not recommend buying a car from Desmond. I put down a non refundable deposit on a 2003 Infiniti g35. First off the car was not even fit to pass inspection when I was going to buy it. The dealer was not even willing to fix everything. He made me sign something on the deposit stating half the repairs would be added on to my bill. I wanted the car so badly I stupidly agreed. We agreed on a date the car would be ready for me to come pick it up which was 9 days from when I put the deposit down. Almost a month later the car was still not ready! Come to find out it had more problems with it than I was told about when I put down the deposit. It turned out the car obviously had an electrical problem. Desmond tried telling me it was the specific parts that were burned out and needed to be replaced/fixed (the lock motor for both the driver and passenger side doors, the window motor on the driver side, the stereo, and the air bag light). I talked to my mechanic and he told me there is something causing all those parts to be burned out. He also said these cars in particular are electrical nightmares when the electric starts to go like it was on this car. Desmond took the car to a specialist and I am sure the specialist told him this. Instead he tried to fool me saying it was just specific parts that got mysteriously burned out around the same time. To top it off he wanted me to purchase the car and do all the paperwork before all the repairs were finished! He obviously knew this car was going to be a problem and wanted to get rid of it quick. He was very pushy and insistent and talked in circles regarding my questions and concerns about the car. I never got my deposit back. Yes it was non refundable, but nearly a month after the date I was supposed to have the car, which was stated on the agreement i signed for the deposit, the car was still not ready and there were definitely more problems with the car than I was told about when I signed it. He also marked the price of the car up from $5,000 to $5,500 on his website for repairs that should have already been done before he put the car on the market. I will be filing a complaint with the DMV complaints department against car dealers and repair shops to get my money back. Do not waste your time and money with Beyond Exotic Motor Group in Fishkill, NY 👎
