::I came here all the time when I was growing up--when prices didn't matter because I was a child. We would get breakfast, usually just a plain bagel with cream cheese but occasionally with the addition of smoked salmon, and I always had orange juice with it. We'd sit in the old Ram truck parked at the lot on the corner which is now an eyesore of a high rise. Mom read the paper with Quartermain's coffee and I had my bagel...sometimes a chocolate top cookie. Ten years passed since I last came by, and I was pleased to find that the inside had been renovated but the quality is the same. Yes, it's pricey, but everything in this area is, and they could probably get away with it being more so. The cookies have gotten MUCH smaller, but they are still positively delicious. I was delighted to take a bit into a plain toasted bagel with cream cheese and salmon and find that it was the same marvelous taste from years gone by; a small comfort in a city that I once loved, now turned into a disgusting metropolis of materialism. Thanks, guys.

::This place is Home. I've tried everything from classical breakfast bagel sandwiches to confections and lunch items. Everything is superb. Their bagels taste like you're in the Bronx and made with that great NY water! Can not recommend this place enough. The owner is incredibly kind and the staff is amazing receptive. Easily earned 5/5.

::Absolute best bagels in the area, no questions asked. I'm super picky about my bagels and was thrilled to find this place. It's popular, so often busy, but you can get in and out quickly even on the weekends. We keep a stock in the freezer but always feel at home when we go in to the shop.

::I have been going to Bethesda Bagel for many years and missed it during the renovation. Wow - now it looks like a Dunkin Donuts - pretty bad. The service was poor the first time I went back and awful today. About 10 staff in the store and one person waiting on customers while a second appears to be counting money in the cash register. The bagels are great but customer service awful! The person waiting on me indicated that the management has put in a new system.

::This is my Go To bagel bakery. Their bagels and other foods are all fresh and excellent. The service is outstanding. They get very busy at peak times of course because they're so popular.
