  This is the best place to go to wash your pooch. Always clean, the people who work their are friendly and helpful, the prices are better than reasonable. We've been going here for six years and never had an issue.

  Sure beats cleaning up the bathroom after a dog bath! Staff is very nice.

  Besides my beautiful girlfriend the love of my life is my rescue dog Lucy my cocker spaniel. If you own a Spaniel you are aware that they have sensitive skin and since my dog spends 24/7 thinking that she is a human being and she eat like a human being has resulted in a strange itchy skin condition best served buy a visit to Beauty for the Beast Pet Wash. It's a little bit of a drive but it is well worth it! Located in the Hollywood District of Portland, it is relatively easy to find on your second visit remember this. Your first attempt to find it might be a bit frustrating as parking in this city absolutely sucks. But once you figure out how to cut through the parking lot of the mortgage place you can usually find a spot on the side street. This information is critical unless you bring your dog on a bicycle or on the bus. But I kid you not parking is a challenge. Once inside they have fantastic open-ended basins and my dog simply jumps in ready to go. They provide towels, a full-length rubber welders apron which I enjoy cuz it makes me look very Macho, your choice of medicated soaps, a scrubby, a choker chain if you need it, and a wonderful staff ready to help out if need be. But don't ask them to wash your dog that's your job. Once washed and there really isn't a strict time limit you can grab your Pooch and go over to the hair drawing table where I wipes and ear wipes are available. They don't ever complain about the wipes but they do remind you not to waste them cuz they are spendy in volume. I must point out that the manager during the day that we see each and every time we come in is a wonderful human being and is great with our dog. Our pooch dropped do do on the floor twice and she was so cool about it as we blushed bright red. She said that she's been doing this for so long nothing frazzles her. But she is so nice and so helpful we learned and purchased some anti-itch spray and some bath finish spray kind of like a nice dog cologne. I remember as a kid you would take some soap and a sponge or brush turn on the garden hose and wash the dog. But my oh my what a fun and sophisticated system that exists now. In closing I wish say that we have experimented with over 15 dog wash facilities and Beauty for the Beast is hands-down the best! They do have wonderful dog groomers on-site for trimming grooming bathing and of course clipping those nasty nails.! I strongly recommend this facility, and I was not compensated or bribed in any way to say all of these wonderful things about this wonderful place. Your dog will love it. Our dog knows when she's going to the spa and she is more than ready to jump in the basin and be treated like a K-9 goddess ... tell them Elvis sent you

  Friendly staff, easy to use tubs and fur blower! My biggest complaint with most self wash stations are weak blowers. As a fluffy dog owner I need strong air to get the fur dry. This place has great blowers, tubs with strong pressure and nice temperature control. Each wash station has towels, aprons, a blower, eye and ear wipes and an assortment of brushes. Also they have a nice selection of shampoos to meet your dog's need :)

  Super happy & we keep returning for more! The place is clean, friendly and low drama. All the dog owners seem to be doing their own washing & grooming routine with their dogs so it feels kinda like a work site...but with dogs. Staff is helpful and the place is well supplied. I love the large walk-in dog tubs that save my back. They provide leads, 2 fluffy towels, a rubber apron to protect your clothes and some kind of hand held scrubber-defurring thing that I don’t use because my dog doesn’t shed. There are easily a half dozen soap choices. They also have the power dryers by the grooming tables so you can blast the water away. Ear wipes are provided as well. I used to gripe about my husband paying $18 to wash our large dog but I’m a believer now!
