  Help!? Room service, anyone, Bueller?? This place is so annoying. I have 2 small children and have been dialing concierge and room service all day from our in room phone and it’s constantly busy. My children have been living off of goldfish and cheese. In addition, I requested a child baby gate for the villa with a second story.....never came. No turn down service, basically at $2500 a night you’d think they could hire more staff to accommodate their guests. Edited because I just went down to beach village front desk and he said hotel is fully committed and that’s why the lines are busy. I’ve been dialing multiple hours all day today. In my opinion the hotel needs help in the management department...at the nightly rate I’m paying I’d rather rent a house and fend for myself then stay here.

  Disgusting on so many levels. First, the rooms are nice but the ants are HORRIBLE. I sit down on the couch, ants crawling down my arm. Ants in the bed, in the bathroom, on the walls, walking across the carpet, even crawling out of the phone. We are not talking a couple here and there... my daughter had a carryout of pb&j in a container and in less than 30 minutes HUNDREDS of ants were devouring it on the desk. It makes sense why they are out of control... maintenance and service is obviously lacking. The in-room gas fire-lace wouldn't light... but the smell of gas will quickly fill the room if you tried to use it. One night after room service, we called for them to pick up the plates. They said to leave it outside our door. We did, but they never came. Hundreds of ants loved that. They do a nice smores roast on the beach (dozens of campfires). Unfortunately, they did it right outside our cottage. Our eyes burned and all of our clothes smelled like a campfire even though we never went to it and had all of the doors closed in the cottage. I hate to think how much smoke my 4 year old was exposed to for simply laying in her bed. We paid a ton to have a beautiful private view of the beach... instead the hotel had a huge loud private party for the hotel's local "membership" they sell as a type of country-club membership. They put the party smack-dab between our villa and the ocean. This had an EXTREMELY loud band that was literally 20 feet off our deck. Needless to say my daughter was unable to sleep. The next day they put a huge inflatable movie screen between us and the shore... so much for watching the sunset (not to mention the noise... we couldn't even watch tv since it was so loud). More smores too... so more smoke to inhale, burning eyes, and smelly clothes. Valet... don't bother calling for your car (or for your bags to be handled), most of the time they made no make effort to get it (even with approximately 30 minutes notice). Hotel food was mediocre. I paid for a lobster tail... instead they gave me a half-tail and a claw. Just another instance of not getting what I paid for. Par for the course at this hotel. Most beach front luxury hotels in this range will have you listening to peaceful crashing waves on the beach. Not this place. Besides the ridiculously loud party they threw at the expense of their guests... even if that didn't happen, you would still have to deal with the loud military helicopters and jets that fly super low every 30 minutes thanks to the neighboring military base. Imagine having your vacation literally next to an airport and tell me how relaxing that sounds. Honestly, this place is a joke. There are WAY BETTER places you can go for the price. You couldn't pay me to go back to this dumpster. Check out Yelp and Trip Advisor and sort by "most recent" to see a lot of 1 star reviews.
