I am not a “workout” person! ... I was a dancer and never thought of that as workingout, but oh I guess it was, because When I stoped dancing for “real work” in my adult life this caught up with me and landed on my butt, thighs and belly! As a vain woman this was enough motivation to get me to try just about every work out option out there. All were a chore that I hated and sooner or later I neglected for more fun options like drinks with friends or tv on my couch. 3 years ago I timidly walked into the barre3 doors and instantly upon being greeted by the owner Kendall and 3 instructors I thought- well even if I don’t like the workout i feel like I just met 4 new friends. At the time I had just come in to inquire about classes- what to wear etc. it ended up being a fun chat and I was super excited to come back to class the next day. Bonus! I instantly fell in love with the class! I was mind blown that there were options for each move that helped me protect my old dancers knees and let me ease my way back to a healthy strong body- more so I did not feel judged or pressured to do the moves as the instructor set up- many of the clients and other instructors took the aulternate options too. It was freeing!!!! It was fun!!! I found that all of The instructors are knowledgeable and will guide you kindly to protect your body while growing it stronger. It is such a smart and efficient way to grow stronger all while moving in unison to great music- I totally forget that I am working out sometimes and find fun in the class! I actually started choosing class over drinks and or TV I know - I was shocked too! I have been consistently going to class 4 to 6 days a week for 3 years! After each class I feel energized, calm, strong and happy. I love the community of support I have found in other clients and instructors and staff. The studio it self is also so bright, clean and fresh. It has become something of a “at home with my people” feeling when I am there now. Oh and as for the original reason I went on my workout class quest- my body vanity issues😏- well let’s just say results are fantastic! I am in better shape than I was in my 20’s (40’s now). My clothes now size 2/4 from 6/8 fit comfortable and beautifully. I feel great in my own skin again and am body strong and proud. What I did not expect is how mentally strong I have grown through my practice at barre3 too and the wonderful friendships I have made. Literally I can’t believe that it was surface vanity that brought me here and I got sooooooo much more out of it! I love being and feeling healthy, strong and happy! I m very thankful to Kendall and all the instructors, staff and other women who join me in this practice and protect and grow this community! Ok, I have gushed enough!!! 😘🤗
