::Love this place. He welded my motorcycle's cracked exhaust header. No one else would touch it, and online forums said it was basically impossible. He used oxy-acetylene, which no one anywhere even suggested would work. It's held up for a year now. And it was very cheap and fast.

::Wonderful service! The Gentleman who owns/ runs this place is has been there for ever!! He's very knowledgable. Though he moves a little slow, it's totally worth the savings and supporting this local business. After my visit there was still a slight problem, brought it back and he fixed it immediately, no questions asked. Please go see him!!

::I backed into a light post base and bent my muffler pipes pretty badly in two places. Midas suggested I replace the entire muffler and the estimate they gave me had me leaving in tears. I decided to get a second opinion and went to see Mr. Bourne on Barracks street the next day. Mr. Bourne is an older gentleman who is partially retired. He has a tiny, old shop and it's pretty much just him. He's been in business for over 50 years and appears to work only on mufflers. I called ahead and as soon as I arrived he had my car up on the lift and gave me an estimate for a shockingly low price (a tiny fraction of what Midas was going to charge me). His operation is very old school, no paperwork and no fancy waiting room with coffee...probably why he's able to charge so little. It took him less than an hour to reshape my existing muffler. He did an excellent job and there was no waiting seeing as I was the only customer there. He even let me watch the entire process. I would HIGHLY recommend Barracks Muffler Shop if you are seeking a very experienced, honest mechanic who is more than fair when it comes to pricing. He charged me so little that I actually felt guilty and gave him a little more;) I love Mr. Bourne!
