Fun time on a Tuesday, but had my iPhone stolen out of my ZIPPED purse on the dance floor. Not their fault but also crappy that those kind of people frequent this place. HUGE damper on an otherwise fun night.

Avoid this place and go next door. Pretentious staff, Soundtrack was good though. I intentionally kept paying twice the price for my drinks to take care of the bartenders. The blonde bartender at the main bar kept serving loud people that I was ahead of while waiting for service. Being polite and tipping didn't matter. The guys at the main bar as well. Service sucks. I was even told off by the bartender when I mentioned that she kept serving people I was ahead of in line. So much for being polite. There's plenty of bars next door and in the area that play 80's and have proper service without attitude. Go to those.

If you want to dance your butt off come here! This place is packed on weeknights and weekends! They have super cheap drinks and free cover before 11. My favorite night is Tuesdays because if their music selection. They have themed nights music. Also check out Swandive next door, it’s connected in the back.

I have been to Barbarella many times before with groups of friends and have spent a decent amount of money at this establishment. I’ve recommended it to friends in the past and even brought in a sizeable crowd on my college graduation night. Since then, my amount of drinking has gone down, so I haven’t visited too much recently. On April 24, a group of friends wanted to go somewhere for a quick drink after a show at the Mohawk, so I obviously recommended Barb’s down the street. However, on this occasion, the male bartender who was taking care of the front bar was incredibly rude. The bar wasn’t too busy, so I asked if it would be okay for me to get a simple $2 well since it was literally all the cash I had remaining after the show and I wasn’t planning on drinking too much for health reasons, so I didn’t want to start a tab with my card. At any rate, I offered to put my card down if there were any issues with the aforementioned request. He proceeded to pour the drink, which took all of 5 seconds. I paid the $2 and he proceeded to toss my money back at me on the counter, then tossed the freshly poured well directly in the trash can, and rudely asked “how about that?” At this point, I repeated that I would have been willing to put my card down and I simply walked away. This a poor business model, and I’m sure the owners wouldn’t be too pleased to learn that product was being wasted and service was being refused when there was perfectly good money to pay for it. Unfortunately, I will no longer be coming to Barbarella’s nor will I be recommending it to others.

It is a fun place to go dance! It’s a great spot to go to with a group of friends to celebrate. I rarely go down town but tend to stop here to get ma boogie on if I do. Drinks are average priced but the staff is always fun and friendly.
