  Good food, good wait staff, lady hostess was kind and welcoming. Bald older gentleman host was very rude, curt and yelled at patrons. We heard him scolding another table with a young family with a baby in a car seat. The grandmother at the table was displeased and he came back later to try to reconcile. Was a sour way to start brunch.

  Always great. Fresh spring pea soup, great salads. The menu is varied so There is definitely something for everyone to choose from. Best bar on Long Island.

  First time eating here, and it was pleasurable. Quick service, good food, nice decor. Can't say anything bad about the place. I'd recommend it.

  Great atmosphere although the Bartender has to service the bar and the wait staff and they yap it up among themselves too much. Thus reducing service quality if you're sitting at the bar. Nice place tho!

  I had a light fish salad and dessert in Bar Frites on January. The fish salad was yummy! The fresh dressing blended with lemon juice brings out the fresh of the fish. The texture of fish meat was a little bit tense but still soft. When you bit the fried fish, you would feel it taste quite fresh. Before, the entree, they served warm and great bread. It is quite delight part of the meal. I ordered a glass of blanc by the recommend of waiter. I feel it is okay. Not too surprising. In the end, I had the melting chocolate volcano, which taste just fit what i expected. The total bill was not that affordable, I don't think I will order the same food again. However, the waiters were very nice and friendly. I would come if I have chance but I would either ask professional wine matching person or I just choose the wine by myself
