We have not stepped foot into this place but already know that we wouldn't want to. This place seems to be run by a tyrant who maintains complete control over all aspects of Azle Manor. All of this surrounding PAPERWORK. My husband was supposed to go there after being in the hospital for a week. I am disabled myself and have not been able to get there on two separate occasions to complete paperwork with her. As a result they (she) refused admittance to my husband. He suffered because I couldn't get there. WOW! That makes a lot of sense. ( NOT) Suggestion to you---go somewhere else. I guarantee you she is trouble. Her name is Tammy.

My grandmother has been there 5 days now and it has already been a bad experience. She is bed bound and doesn't leave her room. Aids must help her use the restroom and bring in food. The first day, tuesday, they didn't bring her lunch because they were out of food! (She is diabetic) then later that evening they never brought her dinner. Dinner starts at 5 pm. At 7pm I called to tell them she still had not been fed (oh and that she never got lunch of which they gave no comment) I was told trays already went out and that she is just still hungry. When they finally figured out that she had indeed been skipped at dinner they brought her a cold CHEESE sandwich and a banana. I guess when she started to sob because she was so hungry an aid went down and found her a tray from dinner (this finally happens at 7:45 pm). The nurse on duty told my grandmother that she never told me she was just still hungry, but those were her words verbatum! When she calls for help going to the restroom they leave her waiting for 35 minutes or more (I do understand they are very busy) and when she ends up having an accident they get very irritated and yell at her. It is now Saturday and she is on day 3 with no bath, because she says every time she asks when she will get one the aid on duty tells her the next shift will get it. This chain started Friday morning. She just text me and told me her roommate is refusing to eat until they bathe her because they have been promising her a bath for days. This place is a joke. Gave them the benefit of the doubt the first day with a new patient to get things in order, but there is something everyday. Like them trying to load her up on insulin without checking her blood sugar. Feeding her food with peanut in it when she is highly allergic. She has been complainimg of a bladder infection since Tuesday and as of today still hasn't received and antibiotic. I've always heard how horrible nursing homes are, and always thought it was just stereotyping, but from what I've seen and the other reviews i have read this place is the nightmare everyone worries about when having a family member in a nursing home.

Definitely NOT a rehab if that is what you are looking for!!! It is a nursing home.

This place is disgusting. I drew the date and time on my mom's underwear when I left at 7pm and came back at 7:40am and she was wearing the same underwear and had pee on her bed. It was disgusting and when I pointed it out, the assistant tried to change it all in front of me as fast as she could. I've seen roaches, ants, the nurses make my mom stay in bed, they drug people if they get upset. Just take your loved ones somewhere else.

Awful place. I went last night to see my dad and for the whole 3.5 hours I was there, every time I went to ask a question, the nurses that are supposed to be at the counter were living in the smoke room. I asked an aid and she said they get 2 smoke breaks. What kind of care are the patients getting if the caregivers are smoking for their whole shift?!?!
