  Trying to determine if a shop has honest mechanics or not really would depend on who is running the shop on any given day and who is the mechanic. Honestly. I went to this shop years ago and the guys were honest. I needed a part replaced and they replaced it quickly and gave me an incredible labor price (although I did buy my own part). I went to the shop recently and it had a different feel. I could tell the guys were more about the money and I had the feeling that I needed to watch them to make sure they did not try to gouge me or take advantage of me. It made my heart sink. I've seen shops go from honest to crooked all depending on mgmt. One has to be careful. I also like standing near my car to watch them work on it to make sure the part that I purchased is being put on and there are no switch-a-roos. AND TO CEDRICK DIXON - DON'T TAKE WHAT THESE GUYS DID TO YOU LYING DOWN. CHALLENGE IT IN COURT. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE MONEY YOU CAN FILE A FORM FOR STATING THAT YOU ARE INDIGENT. THAT MEANS THE STATE WILL COVER ALL YOUR COURT FEES. YOU CAN REPRESENT YOURSELF. YOU DO NOT NEED AN ATTORNEY (ALTHOUGH IT WOULD BE GOOD TO SPEAK TO ONE) IF YOU ARE IN SMALL CLAIM'S COURT. AND COUNTER SUE THESE GUYS FOR LOSS OF REPUTATION AND DAMAGING YOUR EMPLOYMENT PROSPECTS AND EMOTIONAL DISTRESS. DON'T LET THESE GUYS GET AWAY WITH THIS. FIGHT THEM. SO THAT THE NEXT TIME THEY FEEL LIKE DEFRAUDING SOMEONE - THEY WILL THINK TWICE.

  I took my car in because of a noise, the guy said it was the axle but he would check it to make sure and give me a call back to let me know the problem and price.Three days past with out a call so I called them and they said it was fixed. I thought,wow, he fixed it with out even contacting me. So a few days later I go to get my car and ask him how does it drive, and he says he didn't text drive it.Immediately I thought how can he be sure it is fixed without text driving it.So I suggested we both ride in the car for a text drive and he was hesitant but I was insistent.So during the test drive the noise was still there, he then said his mechanic most have gotten the wrong diagnoses, but he did replace a rusty part. I informed him that I requested for my car to be fixed, not rusty parts replaced.He told me that I still had to pay for it, but I refused to pay for their negligence and took my car home.Two months later the police informed me that I had a warrant for larceny which caused me to have to post two 500 bonds.FARE, OR Not?
