  I have been a client of Roseann’s for 12 years. Not only is she hands-down the best stylist I’ve ever had, she is a kind, generous and genuine human being who always goes above and beyond to make her clients happy. She gives me incredible haircuts that actually get better as they grow in. My mother always asks for Roseann to cut her hair when she’s in town because she gets a better cut than anywhere in Michigan!

  I came here to get highlights done by Roseanne the owner and got white silvery discolored highlights. I came back to correct this, only to have my NATURAL HAIR texture destroyed.... I can't even begin to explain... my hair was then STRIPPED and was yellow & just horrible. She then attempted to dye my "roots" to give me the look I CAME IN FOR! Fast forward. My hair was not at all what I wanted. Not only was it not what I wanted, it was dry, my hair was completely burnt. I was charged the first time 100$ I ended up spending an extra 200$ on conditioning products to fix this mess! I contacted Salon Altier explaining my frustration and that I felt that I should be refunded my money for the damage and extra cost of repairing my hair.. which shouldn't have needed repairing if it were done properly. I did not receive a reply from Roseann (owner). Mind you, she was present when all of this occurred. Any how, I hope this helps anyone who may have intentions of going to this place. If I could give zero stars, I would. UPDATE:---THIS SALON IS SO CROOKED THAT THEY CALLED THE LOCAL POLICE TO REPORT I DIDN'T PAY MY BILL AND I WENT BY THE NAME FIONA. HORRIBLE SALON HORRIBLE WORK, MY HAIR IS DESTROYED!! ALL THESE GOOD REVIEWS ARE PERSONAL FRIENDS OF THE OWNER. BEFORE MY REVIEW WENT UP THIS SALON HAD NO REVIEWS!!

  Salon Atelier is the best! It's warm and friendly atmosphere always makes me feel welcome every time I go. Roe has been cutting and styling my hair for years, as well as hair and makeup on special occasions, she has true talent as well as being such a sweetheart. When it comes to treating or coloring my hair Roe always gives her honest and professional advice leaving with healthy awesome hair! I can't say enough good things about Salon Atelier! Excellent!

  Best hair salon! I travel 40 minutes just for my color and cut done by Roseanne. She is incredible and nails it each time. She also is so honest in what my hair can and cannot do. I have such thick hair and a natural deep brown color. My last appointment I had high/low caramel highlights and I fell in love. She is an expert! Love her!

  Finally...stylists that listen and know what looks good. I've had the same hair color and style my whole life and would go from salon to salon just doing a standard color and cut to get by. I was referred to Salon Atelier about 5 years ago by a family member and will never turn back. I couldn't be happier!! I usually go to Roseann and I just love how she listens to what I want and turns it into something stylish, clean, natural and makes me feel great in my own skin. She tempts me just enough with suggestions that I get to try something new without branching too far from what I'm comfortable with. I'm a brunette and wanted a "little" blonde for the summer and she gave just the right highlights to lighten it up without going too far. The quality of work is stellar, they use great products, and I just love the little touches of the coffee and snacks they give while waiting. Something that goes above and beyond was how well she listened when I was pregnant and had concerns about dying my grays and the products used. She had the appropriate products, gave me great recommendations and made me feel so comfortable. I trust them so much now I used them for my wedding make-up and hair and recommend them often. It's a shame many of us only write reviews when we are upset about something. I've been going here for years and should have reviewed sooner. I'd highly recommend a visit for anyone looking for great quality and for stylists who listen and can recommend what would work best for your look, comfort level and just know what's in.
