Good community. The staff is warm and friendly. They can "crack the whip" when they need to handle some touchy situations (homeless on the property, noise complaints, and when dealing with issues outside of the complex). Recently there was an issue with homeless bathing and sleeping in the community's jacuzzi and pool area, and one recent car theft has happened (items taken from a car, while parked on our premises). Since about 2 weeks ago (maybe more), there has been what seems like over-night security, and has drastically reduced the sightings and occurrences of these issues. To reiterate, this is a great community that is in the heart of Santa Ana. Being a part of the fairly recent growth and gentrification of this area is refreshing, to an extent. If I were to walk a few blocks in just about any direction, there are deteriorating areas, in comparison to Artists Village Apartments. Although, comparing the majority of Santa Ana to this community is simply not fair due to the fact that this community has not been here for the same time Santa Ana has been. The fact remains- Santa Ana is a sanctuary city and other police departments in cities such as Irvine, will still be funneling homeless into our city. I enjoy this community of people, whether we are affluent or a working class people. I also enjoy being a part of the growth and having a voice in this community. A-1 staff (maintenance crew, security, and front office) I really hope the security stays. 😒 The rent is competitive with bordering apartment communities, meaning we don't pay as much and we get to enjoy a lot more. 👌

We have been happy here for almost 18 months. The Staff really cares about the tenants. The location is second to none...tons of nightlife, the Art Walk - we loved it here and were sad to leave.

NO PARKING SPACE!!! you only assigned with 1 parking space down in the basement, other than that no other option...they have some reserved parking and visitor but like it said ONLY for reserved and visitor, you need to get a permit or they will tow it. they also said you can buy parking permit at artist village park across the street...but they always full! this is the 2nd month we've been trying to get it. i'm not kidding at first i didn't look like a big deal "aww you can always park in reserved after 6 pm, but you have to move it before 9 am the next day" if you work 5 days a week and on your day off you have to wake up early looking for parking spot that doesn't exist!!! that will drive you crazy! you pay for apartment, never complained about urine smelling hall ways...a couple of police arrest in the building...nor someone who passed away in the building...and you can't even rest without worrying about your car on your day off??????? that is terrible!!!!!!

The prices have generally been good, the location is great (*great*), and the staff is (with only perhaps 1 exception) universally friendly and helpful. That being said, if your unit faces 1st street you will never be able to hear anything further than a few feet away from you. The sound of traffic passing below somehow fills the apartment so fully you'll think you're standing in the road. The washer/dryer in unit breaks roughly once or twice a month, though this is still preferable to having to use a laundromat. The kitchen is an affront to cooking. The vomit-colored granite counters chip easily, several drawers are blocked from opening more than a few inches by the refrigerator, (which has so little space to open its door that you will find yourself unable to remove all of the components for cleaning), and at least two of the floor level cabinets are so deep, and have openings so narrow, you are guaranteed to lose *something* in them. Santa Ana's homeless and crazy roam the streets downstairs openly, though they are being slowly gentrified out of existence.
