  My son 8yo played soccer this season and it was a disaster, first off no one wanted to volunteer and the person what said they might. They just went ahead and made them coach. In the exact description it said - 7/8 Year Old The kids will continue to focus on technique and team-work. The recreational league provides a fun, safe and developmentally appropriate soccer environment. Teams will focus on improving tchnique (technique spelled wrong) , goalkeeping, offense and defense. I can honestly say my son learned none of this. Yes it was fun and kept my son out doing what he loved, but as far as being organized it was NOT. Please if your going to charge each child $88 (which was hard for a single mother like me to come up with) Do NOT promise that he will learn anything. Unless we got lucky and their was a child with a parent that use to coach soccer before on the team.
