Not at all what I expected, much to our surprise and disappointment. First, the parking is exorbitant, with daily rates only and very few street spots available. We parked 2 blocks away and walked to save the $10. Glad we did. The store is small and extremely packed by bored and disappointed sounding tourists. But the worst thing is that there are virtually no antiques! I would say there are less than 20 pieces in the entire store. For every actual antique there are 4-5 very cheap, generic knock off pieces (fake lamps and things like you'd buy at Target or Pier 1 Imports to decorate a bookshelf or coffee table, all new from Asia but painted to look distressed.) All this trip is sprinkled around the store to give atmosphere, but 90% or more of their inventory and floor space is taken up by Antique Archaeology branded merchandise. T-shirts, coffee mugs, refrigerator magnets, that sort of thing. I'm so glad we didn't pay for parking! The only thing I enjoyed was the beautiful brick building which houses this and a few other tourist traps. Everything else was a waste of time.

Had a great time seeing the store (second one) from American Pickers. Ladies were very nice! If you enjoy watching the show go take a look and enjoy the sites!

I agree with most other reviews of this place, it is small and there's not really much you can actually buy here but we had fun just the same. It was awesome to see items from the show and pick up a few souvenirs. The girl folding t-shirts in the back was very rude with me. I didn't know what size my daughter needed and I held a couple sizes up to her before deciding on one and tried to fold the others very neatly for her but apparently she was irritated that I moved her shirt pile and was flat out rude. Didn't think that was necessary. Thankful that we came in the afternoon on a chilly day so we had no wait and it wasn't crowded at all. Now we have to visit the original Iowa store too!!!! :)

Lots and lots of interesting things. Pretty pricey though. They have antiques and they have some new stuff, t-shirts, Coca-Cola machines old ones, old sleds, old kitchen Wares, street signs, old railroad paraphernalia, motorcycles, bicycles, old radios, Old candy bar machines, and you might even if you look hard enough find an old slot machine. But I don't know if it would work or not because of the fact is it might be illegal to sell one that is working! Happy Hunting and happy treasure digging!

Fun times here! Take your time in the Pickers' store and then look throughout the whole place where there's lots of antique tools and fascinating machinery. All kinds of other interesting original shops-to-explore are all around the inside of the old factory.
