  There were a few missing prosducts for specific animals, it’s mostly birds,reptiles, and hamsters. Other than that It’s a great store if you’re looking to get a reptile or Bird

  One of the best store for those who have pets at home. They have great products, such as pet food and toys for your pet.

  The critters are 100% rescue so this is the place that ‘fixes’ what places like petco screw up. Good resource for exotic animals, good resource for birds, good knowledge of reptiles, rodents, guinea pigs, and rescue resource for all these animals + plus : boxer rescue, cat rescue, snake and lizard rescue. There are many groups that specialize in a type of animal that they help: Andy’s is an intersection where this diverse group of kind spirits overlap and spread some light into a world that needs it. They see all the health care issues that come up with these pets, they know how to care for these various animals and they answer questions about them... you can trust what the specialist here say, because they do it every day and have been doing it in San Jose for decades.

  Great locally-owned downtown pet shop, and wow they have everything - including an impressively deep knowledge of their products and animals, and pets in general. Prices are quite reasonable and even competitive, lower than the big corporate pet shops it looks like. Got some great cat toys and they had a lot of different pet contraptions like toys and leashes and so forth.

  I cannot more highly recommend this place if you are looking to adopt a cat. I had been feeling discouraged by the application processes at most shelters, involving filling out long forms or coordinating w foster sitters before you could even meet the cat. At Andy's, all pets are taken in from local shelters and you can play with them before making your choice. I hadn't planned on adopting a kitten, but when a 6 mo old cutie lept into my lap and tugged at my necklace, I knew he was going to be my cat. Getting that real-life interaction (instead of just scrolling through a website) was so valuable. The folks at Andy's and St. Francis (the shelter my cat was from) were so helpful and the process was seamless. From the day I met my cat to the day I brought him home, no more than 4 days passed. I'm so glad I went here. They also sell a variety of quality pet food and toys which my cat has loved.
