  Men, when you're finally ready to up your hair game, Alt & Co and Erin are great choices. This salon is unique in that caters to men, with its chill, laid-back, no-judgments environment. And Erin is a pro's pro. When I told her what I wanted, she said sure no problem and then walked me through every step of my haircut; she diagnosed my hair's strengths and weaknesses; she didn't just give me the hows; she gave me the whys. The straight edge razor was a nice finishing touch. FYI, be sure to bring quarters for the parking meter.

  It has been a challenge finding a great barber since moving to the area. I read a few reviews and decided on Alt+Co in Ridgewood, NJ. I live just over the boarder in NY. I liked the atmosphere, the staff were polite and welcoming. The salon was very clean and I liked the small, but, quirky retail area. Thomas was very professional, attentive, and took good care of me. Will be going back.

  Thomas is my guy. Obviously a great cut but also a holistic aesthetic experience every time. Great cuts and great products too. THANKS

  I have always been someone who gets haircuts at barbershops, however as my hair has started to thin and recede, the barbershop haircuts started getting worse and worse and not lasting as long until they looked terrible. I decided to try out Alt + Co as a solution to this and had an appointment with Erin. Erin was GREAT. she clearly understood my challenge, spoke about what she thought she could do, and gave a great haircut (probably one of the best ones I have had in 5+ years). I will definitely going back. Additionally, all of the staff was friendly and great. Definitely worth the extra cost over a barbershop.
