  Absolutely Great Stay however the heat in 603 was weird to figure out. Never really did. It blew alot of cold air even on the heat setting. Lighting in the entire room is on or off no control in bathroom alone. If someone goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night then all lights in the room had to be on but it was a great room, comfortable bed. I would not hesitate to stay again when in Detroit.

  I never leave reviews, but I feel compelled to do so for this hotel. Absolutely terrible management. The female manager was rude and very condescending in her tone toward my husband and I. We were charged extra on our account and we had brought this to her attention upon checkout and she was so rude to us. She treated us like we were idiots and we were wrong when in fact we weren't. Never in my entire life was I so offended as a paying customer. She lacks problem solving and communication skills necessary to be an effective and successful team leader. It really reflected on the entire staff and our overall experience. Very poor communication. Being in a management position myself I cannot wrap my head around the fact that a company hired such an incompetent person to be in charge. It's a shame because customer service goes a long way. So much so that people wont come back no matter how beautiful or "historic" the hotel is if they were treated terrible.

  Very nice hotel! The staff was very kind and courteous! The room was very clean. Very spacious! Good decor. Amazing location. If you have the opportunity to stay here...do it. You will not be disappointed!

  A beautiful establishment with a prime location. High price range, but worth it, except for the service. Room to room calls were not working and upon requesting front desk to transfer it repeatedly redirected back to them. They could not figure out why and didn't fix it. Our booked rooms were not ready as well and we were given a suite with one king and a pull out (instead of a regular room with two Kings). The pullout did not have sheets on it nor we're there any in the rooms. Front desk gave us a hard time about it the following morning when we expressed our displeasure with it, saying we need to request the sheets from the cleaning people.

  Not sure why some sites rate at three stars. One of my favorite hotels in Detroit. Better than those rated at 4 and 4.5 stars. Great property in historic building.
