  I'm an allopathic physician and so there's a part of me trained to be skeptical of Eastern healing pratices, however good literature and now my personal experience support acupuncture for me. Thanks I believe to acupuncture and good nutrition, I was blessed with decreased pregnancy symptoms so that I was able to work. When my daughter was breech late in third trimester, I tried the suggested acupuncture therapy. (I had read English studies supporting it) Whether the therapy worked or coincidence, impossible to tell, but my daughter turned and was born vaginally. Each visit I received thoughtful and professional care. Considering the infinitesimally minimal risk especially compared to Western medical treatment, I believe the benefits were well worth it and I will seek acupuncture care again as needed.

  I was treated several weeks during my menses for intense lower back pain. Within the first 5 minutes of the session I felt relief and it lasted for a couple of days afterwards. I was also recommended to take some herbs which significantly helped decrease the cramping. I definitely recommend Alma Acupuncture.
