  Normally I would be giving Allen's a good review. Whenever the other pharmacies can't help me they can. This time however it was a different story....I went in to get a glucose monitor that CVS wouldn't give me but the insurance said it was covered. I had my doctor resend it to Allen's. I was told that they would give it to me because CVS had already filled it (not true). The person helping me was so rude. When I told her my doctor sent them the prescription she said really loud "where is it"? I reexplained that my doctor sent it to them. She said "Well we can't help you CVS has already filled it". She was very loud and not willing to help. I left very frustrated.

  Allens takes care of my disabled son’s medications, and I have yet to deal with any other pharmacy or health care clinic that can match the effort they put out to make sure their patients have their meds. And they treat their patient population with real respect, which makes a real difference. You can’t fake that and I can’t thank them enough for helping my son, whose disability leaves him unable to pay anything at all - you’d never know he was treated any differently as I watch him interact at the counter and on the phone. Allens deserves whatever reimbursement they receive for helping the challenged group with mental illness downtown. They serve with alacrity and skill, and with the emotional wisdom to know that looking somebody in the eye, saying their name, and doing so with genuine regard is a humanizing thing to do. And they do it well.

  Fast friendly service. No frills, only does prescriptions.

  Have used Allens for several years. Service has been good and the employees have been helpful.
