  I needed a tuner in a hurry because I'm a professional pianist who works out of famous Brooklyn restaurant. I called Alex pianos and spoke with Boris. I told him we needed a tuning and a string replacement for one note. I was quoted $120 plus a small cost for the string. Alex came here and tuned the piano with a machine and replace the string but he also decided to polish four of the pianos hammers. Whatever he did to those hammers made those notes sound tinny and brittle. I found out he charged $250 to the restaurant owner and told him that he replaced the hammers which is untrue. I was specific with what I wanted and he came here and overcharged and did things we didn't want and now the sound of the piano is compromised. After speaking on the phone with he and his son multiple times it is clear that they are unwilling to make this right and they even had the nerve to tell me they would charge $75 to come back and look at the piano again. We know our piano we play this piano six nights a week and after he tune it sounded completely different and is a shame. He should be ashamed of himself and shouldn't be allowed near anyone's piano. Do not use Alex piano service.
