  I stopped by Alamo Music Downtown to browse the Piano's. Buying a grand is only a dream at this point, but I had some awesome conversations/dealings with Gary, and another guy that was tuning Pianos. I found a Yamaha baby grand that was a joy to play, and sat & enjoyed myself for a while, without feeling any pressure. Very awesome visit to the store. I'll stop back in!

  Great service and the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. mayleen help on getting the right and very first ever ukulele .

  I'm a student at the University of Texas, but San Antonio is my home. When I was in high school, I occasionally shopped at the Alamo Music Center. I even bought my first drumpad and favorite Alvarez acoustic from this very location. I'm in town for the weekend and decided to check the place out. I was so surprised by the renovations! The staff are as friendly and helpful as ever, but the changes to the showrooms are impressive. The acoustic room, in particular, is absolutely wonderful! I'll be sure to give these folks more of my business. They definitely deserve it!

  I love this place! Gary Smith is my salesman and I have been coming to him for 12 years! He is friendly and knowledgeable along with the rest of the staff. He has great character and has become a great friend over the years. I cannot speak highly enough of him! Alamo Music has competitive prices and quality instruments. I have bought numerous guitars, bass guitars, acoustic guitars, amps, drums, accessories and a saxophone. I have been happy with all of my purchases and will be shopping here for years to come!

  I love this store. All the staff were helpful and friendly. I took my bass in to get new strings and a tune-up so Jason Garcia hooked me up. He was knowledgeable and advised me as to what the best strings to get. He described what he was going to do before he did it so I knew the process. Highly recommended!
