Worst pizza I've ever eaten. I ordered a Medium pizza and the Spinach Artichoke Sticks via the EatStreet App. The time quoted to me was 35 minutes and it arrived 55 minutes later...not usually a big deal, only both my pizza and appetizer were cold. The driver called, and refused to come up to the second floor, he insisted that someone come down and get the pizza from the car. The driver rudely shoved the boxes into my hands and then tried to leave without giving me a receipt. I asked him for it and he just shrugged, saying, "Yeah, I don't have one...you can call the manager." What kind of delivery person doesn't provide a receipt with the order? Don't they want a tip? Oh right...they did...they charged my card automatically with an 18% tip which may or may not have been why my receipt wasn't given to me right away. None of the appetizers had descriptions, so imagine my surprise when the Spinach Artichoke Sticks turned out to be some kind of spinach calzone with absolutely no cheese, no flavor, and served freezing cold. (Although that could have been because the delivery person took an extra 20 minutes to get there). The pizza itself was runny, and it seemed as though someone just threw toppings, sauce, and cheese at a barely-cooked lump of dough. Uneven cuts made it impossible to get anything but a one inch slice or an 8 inch slice, and there were full (8 inch) slices that had no toppings on them because of how poorly the distribution of toppings was across the pizza. I'm not sure how they managed it, but the pizza managed to be both undercooked and burn around the edges. The dough still had a moist-doughishness to it, and the crust added a nice charred taste to the overall pie. You're better off eating at ANY of the national pizza chains than this place...I ate one piece of the spinach-artichoke sticks and one slice of pizza and then threw the rest away. Absolutely disgusting.

I have been looking for some good ol' NY style pizza since I moved to Washington DC. So far all of the pizza that I have tried has been disappointing at best except for a few deli style places in the Maryland and Virginia suburbs. I'd have to rate the pizza as 5/5. It is up until this point the best NY style pizza in DC. My five star rating only reflects the food, however. Unfortunately, the service on my first experience was less than par, likely 0/5. I ordered online (through eat24) and my pizza arrived in about 35 minutes. I got a phone call from the driver at 1:00 AM, but my phone didn't ring. Instead I got a voicemail. I called back at 1:02 AM and the drive had already left. I had to pull his teeth out to get him to come back begrudgingly and with a sigh. I was confused as how he could have come by and not have knocked on the door. He came back at 1:05 and I think I figured out why he came and left without a whisper. I went downstairs after he called saying he was here, and he was still in his car. He never got out of the car and if he had gotten out of the car after the first trip, he could have rung the doorbell and gotten my attention. Of course it was raining, so I went outside and picked up my DELIVERY pizza from his car. I took the pizza and thanked him. As I was heading back to my home, he says "that's it?" I said, "excuse me?" He goes on to say, "where is the tip?" I told him I left it on the credit card and he has the nerve to say, "but I came twice." That pretty much sums up the poor service from the delivery man. Thankfully, I spoke to eat24 about my experience. The representative I spoke to told my story to the store manager immediately, who was upset and apologetic about my experience. They issued me a refund for my poor service. Hopefully that was just an anomaly or a terrible delivery driver. As long as the pizza is still good, I will continue to order from Al Capuccino's.

Only $2.48 a slice, but man the cheese on my slice was a little "ripe." Skip this place, unless you like old cheese.
