  Empty but good outdoor items selection. No one around to help. Had 2 find someone. Not interested in providing a positive experience.. Sad

  This is the store I normally go to for my sporting needs and generally speaking if you are just buying something and walking out, you are fine. It is another matter if you are trying to get some service done. I gave my tennis racquets for restringing twice in the last 4-5 weeks. Both the times I had a very slow turnaround and they were very impolite whenever I called them for a status! There were only 10 racquets ahead of me when I gave mine about 10 days ago. It appears like they can only handle one racquet a day!! Won't go there again for restringing.

  I like this store, because no one bombarded me with, "may I help you with something?" I was greeted at the door and that's good enough for me. I feel like if I need help with anything, I would ask for some assistance. It might sound crazy, but I knew what I wanted before I went in. I don't need 4 or 5 people rushing me. I looked around for a minute then I asked for some assistance. The gentlemen were very helpful. I bought a 10' x 10' x 6' dog kennel run and the gentleman that assisted me was really nice. He said I didn't have worry about getting my item to the front, that he would take care of it and I could continue shop if I like and I did. Then he and his co-worker loaded it in my minivan. It's been awhile since I've been in this store and I will be returning when I'll need sporting or outdoor goods. I didn't get the young man's name. I sure appreciate his help!!! Two thumbs up to him!!!!!

  Academy Sports + Outdoor is incredible. I went there to get some fishing gear and a 1st setup for our daughter. It was my first time there but definitely will not be the last - they have everything and the employees are very helpful!

  Great sporting goods store.. Always has a good selection of athletic apparel and fitness equipment. Sometimes the don't have my shoe size in stock. Parking is easy. Friendly staff. They sell firearms, fishing and camping equipment as well.
