  Called A1 (Jim) via a random internet search for Stamford locksmith and he was the first to answer the phone. Very professional. After going thru various detailed questions on phone as well as exchanging texts/photos/measurements of the old Baldwin mortise lock we have on our front house door (plus other door drilling and passage handle install we needed done), Jim came back shortly after to give me a price, parts specs, and thankfully a same day install window. He & his son were right on time. Install was quick, he cleaned up with shop vac and left no mess or bits of materials here & there. Price was exactly as quoted, no upcharge or unexpected "extras." With good tradesmen who know their business, you get what you pay for: years of experience and the tools, supplies and product in stock (as in, it's right in the van) to get the job done. Two thumbs up, thank you A1!

  Jim was great. He responded to my call immediately and gave me a quote ahead of time. The work he did was perfect and pricing was more than fair. We’d definitely use him again!

  Jim is terrific. He is the type of guy you want to come to your house and provide a service. Very personable, friendly and professional. Great response time, had all the proper equipment needed in his truck. Has key maker in his truck and is well equipped to do a proper cost-efficient job in a timely manner. Would easily recommend Jim and his son to friends and family. Jim takes the time to educate his clients on what they need, how it can be accomplished and the best ways to accomplish his customer's goal. Would easily do business with Jim again. I wish google could let me give more than just 5 stars! Avoid wasting your time with other vendors in the area just call Jim at A1 and get peace of mind.

  A1 Locksmith is a first class organization. I am a small business owner who has used Mr. Slocum numerous times. Each time he is professional, courteous and always reliable! His pricing is great and he will always give you great advice about what needs to be done with the job!! I call him exclusively and I would recommend him for any job, small or large.
