  My experience with 5 Star Movers was amazing and I'm actually very surprised to read about such poor experiences. I hired them via UHaul's website and contracted them for moving help and cleaning services. I traveled to Yonkers, NY to vacate my ailing father's apartment and needed assistance moving items from the apartment to the truck. 3 movers arrived 15 minutes early. The surveyed the job and devised a plan and quickly began working. They were efficient, polite, hard working AND not bad on the eyes. They actually went above and beyond in assisting with wrapping a few of the larger pieces of furniture and disassembling pieces for me. I cannot imagine how they could have provided better service to me. Because I was traveling in from out of town and completely packed a 1 bedroom apartment in 12 hours, I needed to change my start time twice and they were gracious about those changes, even the morning of the move. I will say that they didn't seem to be aware of the need to clean the apartment, but once they verified that this was apart of the contract the quickly obliged and completed the task in 30 mins. I paid for 2 hours of moving and 1 hour of cleaning and they were finished in 1.5 hours total. The truck was packed perfectly and upon arriving in Washington, DC, nothing was damaged or out of place from the drive. I'm sorry that others haven't had a good experience, but I simply can't relate. These guys rock in my book!

  We had an excellent experience today with 5 Star Movers. The schedule was confirmed immediately after we arranged for a one way move through Uhaul and the specifics were finalized the night before the actual move. They arrived on time, were friendly, attentive and efficient. Made the whole experience unusually easy. Would definitely use this service again.

  So, I was in the Rotten Apple helping a pal with a relocation and selling of some items. We found out quickly we are not built for heavy lifting anymore, my knees are bad ;) So I did a quick google search and found five star and quickly called and had a fab convo with Michael. We made arrangements for later that afternoon while me and Pete grabbed a brunch and discussed our next move after the move ;) The movers Lou, Joshua and Robert arrived and they simply marveled us with how quickly they whistled all those bulky heavy items up the stairs with not stopping, I would say to anybody looking for a move to hire some extra man power give five star a call.

  Incredible. I could believe that last minute service could reach these level of white glove treatment. I felt like if I had been dealing with the company for weeks before they arrived. Nothing was damaged, and I honestly will be using these guys again. Frank, Mike and josh were absolutely amazing.
