    In my 20 year career, I have been fortunate enough to have lived all over the U.S. I have stayed in multiple apartments and rent houses. I have only had one bad management company. This place has had at least four...bad management companies. Since moving in May 2016 we have had 4 different management companies. I cannot begin to detail all the problems, break-ins and police involved neighbor disputes. Even worst than that, the management companies except for the first one have been atrocious. Stay away from this property. They will find an excuse to keep your deposit and they will barely communicate. If the price is too good to be true for a downtown apartment...it is!!

    This is the ABSOLUTE WORST apartment. The new management is somehow worse than the last. Since they've been there, the elevator has been broken for over a month (this means you have to walk all the way through the creepy/unsafe garage to get to the stairs). they have taken away ALL visitor parking and the parking fees are ridiculous, they have mandated a pay for trash service that NO ONE wanted, and it is impossible to pick up packages unless you have no job. They do not respond to service requests and do not fix things. Cars get broken into all the time, and they have hired the WORST property security who literally are creepier than the homeless that hangout outside. AVOID THIS PLACE

    Since the new management company BH Management 1001 Ross is NOTa good place to stay never clean, staff is very unprofessional never answer the phones (say they to busy) and now they are changing to PAID parking for guest why do guest have to pay for parking to come and visit, makes no sense but what can a person do we just live here so take the management company into consideration before moving to 1001 Ross Ave Apt Homes to make this your home. NOT A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE RIGHT NOW........................ and I have to give a star to post but rather not give any stars.

    I have never felt so disrespected in my life. I applied for an apartment two week ago and paid $185.00 for the application plus the administration fee. So apparently no one at this office can communicate with me. I haven't heard anything about my application and I have called and left a few message, since no one can pickup the phone. I have also called the phone listed on the website only to be told to call the apartment directly. I mean some form of communicate would have been nice. Most apartment will call you and let you something. So I feel like I have been ripped off. $185 is a lot of money to just giving away.

    DISCLAIMER: This is a lengthy review, but I hope you find it informative. I have tried my best to keep my emotions out of this review, so that you can have a holistic picture of this building. Part (1 of 2) Since moving to 1001 Ross, the leasing office has been like a revolving door for different management teams and staff members. As a result, there has been a lack of consistency in the rules and service that we are receiving as residents-- the major issues being office hours and the means by which we are able to pay our rent. Hours of operation used to be from 9am - 6pm, which, to me, is reasonable considering most working professionals leave work around 5pm, giving us just enough time to get to the leasing office to address any concerns. Now, hours of operation vary, opening at 9am or 10am, but always closing at 5pm.(Remember these hours, as they come into play a little later in this review). You could probably understand why this is concerning, as most people are just leaving the office, or are sitting in that infamous Dallas traffic. Personally, I am a full time teacher, and a full time student in a master's program, so trying to run home to the leasing office in my one hour break between work and class is extremely difficult. However, sometimes it is necessary in order to pick up packages, and what have you. In one of these instances, I stopped by the office to pick up a package, only to be told by one of the leasing officers, Tami, that it was not in the office. Upon reviewing the package log, it seemed that my roommate had picked up my package two days prior. It's very unlike my roommates to pick up my package and not leave it in a place where it is easily noticeable, however, I took her word for it and proceeded to contact my roommate. To my surprise, my roommate had no idea what I was talking about, and it became clear that she was told to sign for the wrong package. So yet again, I have to speed home between work and class to talk to office personnel. Upon arriving at my leasing office, I meet my other roommate there who is also inquiring about a package that was meant to be delivered on the same day as my own. I explained to Tami what my roommate told me, and she seemed very apathetic to my concern, as well as my roommate's. In total, my roommate and I are out $600 due to lost packages and her only response seemed to be "Well, I don't know what you want me to do. You're going to have to contact your courier service." ...
